Outdoor Edge 3.0" RazorLite EDC
A few years ago I was shopping for Christmas gifts for brother-in-laws, grandfathers, and my dad. I saw these in the store and they were priced in my budget for the gifts so I bought one for everybody — including myself to try out.
Previously… my two favorite carry knives are Case knives and Spyderco S1 Salt knives. I’ll write about them later and talk about why I like them also.
I thought these outdoor edge knives would be convenient because I was ALWAYS having to sharpen my other knives and it would be nice to just pop a blade out with a new one. And, they are SHARP. Like, they are literally razor blades.
My only concern was, “Is this a gimmick just to make you keep having to buy more blades?” I will tell you this… it’s not a gimmick or a money suck. It is WORTH IT. And you can get them for under $30 with a few extra blades.
The blades last a LONG time before you need to resharpen them. YES… I said RESHARPEN them. Nobody tells you that, but you can resharpen these blades back to almost as sharp as they are when they come out of the package. I have had blades on these last 6 months before I switched them out. And, as an avid angler and hunter, I use them ALL the time so they aren’t staying sharp from lack of use.
For the price, I don’t think you can beat these things. If you like always having a sharp knife, and you don’t care about having some fancy name brand pocket ornament. This knife is for you. It is made for working and you’ll always have a sharp knife. I just ordered two more today (because my son keeps stealing mine. lol)
